At Champions Centre, our mission is Equipping people to live successful Christian lives. Over time, we have come to
realize that there are many churches and pastors who share our passion to reach people for Christ, and communicate
God’s Word in a way that is relevant. In short, there are those of us who just see church life and culture the same way.
With that heart, we are providing an opportunity called the Champions Centre Network, as a way to unite around our common mission and DNA.

Kevin lives to locate and communicate wisdom and that is what One Degree is all about! It is designed to give you and
your team practical wisdom to apply to your leadership at church. You will be equipped, through a monthly audio teaching
and access to the CC staff, to lead effectively and create a culture that people want to be a part of in your church. We
encourage you to share the teachings each month with your staff and teams.

Champions Centre Campuses are full, mainline campuses under the direct leadership of Kevin Gerald. These campuses
have taken the bold move to fully unite with the Champions Centre family. In doing so, these campuses will share
mission, methods, values, and organizational structure, and will carry the Champions Centre name and leadership
oversight.
Frequently Asked Questions |

 |
Who is a transition to a Champions Centre Campus right for?
This type of church transition begins with a pastor and church leadership who desire full and direct leadership from Kevin
Gerald, and identify with the beliefs, mission and values of Champions Centre. A church considering a transition should,
for various reasons, believe that it is in their best interest to transition into a full Champions Centre campus. This type
of transition would include assimilation of the Champions Centre culture, ministry strategy, leadership training, financial
governance, and name.

What is your approach to church transitioning?
After approaching the leaders of Champions Centre, meetings are scheduled to consider the viability and wisdom of the
transition. Upon the recommendation of the Executive Director of Champions Centre Transitions, and consultation from
the Pastoral staff and Pastors Council, a detailed time line is implemented to prepare a church for its first public worship
service as a Champions Centre. The timeline of transitioning a church to a Champions Centre campus could be between
6 months to 1 year.
Note: This process begins by contacting our office, and filling out appropriate paperwork, to begin discussions. Contact

Do transitioning churches need to change their name?
Yes. Along with the name comes an expectation of the type of church associated with that name. Champions Centres are contemporary, theologically conservative, culturally liberal, charismatic churches that bring hope to their congregations and communities. Every Champions Centre is a part of the greater vision of Champions Centre, which is to equip people
to live successful Christian lives. |
 |
Will existing church members automatically become members of a transitioned Champions Centre?
Existing members would be asked to participate in the Make It Your Church Partnership Luncheon which is a two hour seminar on the beliefs, mission and values of CC and is required for anyone seeking membership at CC. This can be an exciting opportunity for the congregation to grow together. All who consider the existing church their “home” will be invited to jointly participate in the Luncheon. |
 |
Will existing church ministries remain after the church becomes a Champions Centre?
Champions Centre is committed to serving the needs of all the people of the congregation. We fully recognize the need for vibrant ministries to every age group and are committed to strengthening ministries and launching new ones as the Lord gives increase. However, our goal is to build on the proven ministry framework of Champions Centre, rather than recreate strategy. Although this may mean that some ministries may change over time, our desire would be to make changes that lead to greater ministry health and progress. |

Champions Centre is led by a Pastoral team, which is led by a lead Pastor. Is a Pastor-led church biblical?
The Scriptures teach that Pastors are the overseers of the church.
- The Lead Pastor provides oversight and leadership to all areas of the church, with regular accountability with the
Pastor’s Council.
- The Pastoral Team discusses and decides issues based on wisdom, consensus and over all agreement.
- The entire staff exists to equip God’s people for the work of ministry.
The Book of Acts reveals that the authority for the direction of the affairs of the church was vested in the Pastoral team. Scripture does not mention any congregations voting to elect leaders or voting to determine direction. Consequently, CC
members do not vote on any issues. The pastors are responsible to be sensitive to the leadings of the Holy Spirit and to
discern on behalf of the congregation the Spirit’s direction. |
 |
How will a transitioned church’s finances be managed?
Champions Centre has a Pastor’s Council that consist of both staff and lay leaders whose focus is to oversight the
church’s property, finances, facilities, and benevolence. More information regarding the transitioning timeline and Champions Centre ministry model will be discussed in
initial meetings, upon receiving initial contact. |
